The King Is Dead, Long Live The King!

Oh man.
Three days. Three whole days to get over Monday night’s awesome shenanigans, which as Rory has observed come flitting back to mind sporadically, raising smiles and tears. Thanks to all who came down and made the night one of the best we’ve had at The End, it was a truly special occasion and one that will live on in our memories forever! Some great photos of the night have been popping up online, check out dirtydirtydancing, flickr and the facebook pages of many of you who were there. If you’ve got photos of the night, please join our flickr group and add them!

Now just because we’re homeless doesn’t mean we’re going anywhere… Spring will bring with it some fantastic events from us here at DURRR central, as we begin to throw various parties around town and other places. Below are details of just two of the events we’re planning, so put the dates in your diaries – and the residents are all up to various things in the meantime, so keep an eye on your inbox for emails that will keep you up to speed with all that’s happening.

On the website we’ll be adding new videos of the live acts who played for us over the last couple of months, there will be some more podcasts, charts and competitions and other THINGS OF INTEREST. So keep checking back here, www.durrr.co.uk, regularly!

DURRR events in the Near Future:

April (Date TBA): DURRR @ The Social, Paris

Oui, oui mesdames et messieurs, Vive la DURRR! We’ll be holding another party at the excellent Social club in Paris. Expect Gallic Durrrness courtesy of our resident Bon Viveurs (Rory Phillips, The Lovely Jonjo, Our Man Fred) and watch this space for news of who’ll be joining us for guest DJ sets and Live shows!

April 25th: DURRR @ The Camden Crawl

We’ll be hosting a venue on this year’s annual N1 gig marathon, the Camden Crawl. Stay tuned for news of where, and who’ll be supplying the live fun! They’re also running an unsigned band competition HERE which, as is the way of these things, gives you the chance to get your group on stage at the Crawl for as one of ten in a battle-of-the-bands style thing which will see the winners get recording time, mastering and 500 7″ singles pressed up!

OK well that’s it for now, see you soon!

xx

What I wouldnt give to learn how you got your design to be so amazing! I mean it. Besides the blog just being awesome, this page is too sweet! Its not too flashy. It doesnt do too much with colours and things and the videos you use are perfect for this topic! Really, awesome blog.
